The US dollar continued to appreciate against the Pakistani rupee in the local currency markets on Thursday, pushing the dollar to a high of Rs 162.30 in the interbank market and Rs 161.80 in the open market. The pound gained one rupee.


According to the Forex Association of Pakistan, the pressure on the Pakistani rupee and other foreign currencies was felt on Thursday after the Eid and weekly holidays, causing the dollar to appreciate by 20 paise against the rupee in the interbank market. The buying price of the dollar increased from Rs 160.80 to Rs 162 and the selling price increased from Rs 161 to Rs 162.30, while in the local open currency market, the buying price of the dollar increased from Rs 160.50 to Rs 161.30 and the selling price increased from Rs 161 to Rs 161.80.

With the increase of one rupee in other currencies, the buying price of Euro increased from Rs 173.50 to Rs 174.50 and the selling price increased from Rs 175.50 to Rs 176.50, while the buying price of British Pound increased from Rs 194 to Rs 195 and the selling price increased from Rs 196 to Rs 197. Forex According to the report, the buying price of Saudi Riyal increased from Rs 41.80 to Rs 42 and the selling price increased from Rs 42.30 to Rs 42.50, while the buying price of UAE Dirham increased from Rs 42.90 to Rs 43.30 and the selling price increased from Rs 43.40 to Rs 43.80.
